This Saturday (October 9th) is going to another installment of Floorcraft and Jonboy’s long running Freeform vs Dubalicious party, only this time there’s an extra special twist…it’s also a release party for a track that I remixed along with Mr. Floorcraft himself!

We’re celebrating the release (facebook link) along with label head and original track auteur Justin Johnson from 9-2 at Shine (1337 Mission St in SF) on 10/09, so please do join us!

Though I usually produce tunes on the more trance and progressive tip under Derek Ryan, this collaboration has a definite housier direction - with elements of progressive and tribal as well. Floorcraft and I were pretty excited about it though, as it’s got a pretty solid, bangin vibe…I used a different name to deliniate (Nyar D).

Here’s the track, direct from Cable Recordings on Soundcloud:

Justin Johnson - Go Back (Nyar D and Floorcraft remix)

If you dig the track you can find it on iTunes, Juno Download or Beatport.

Please join us for the party as well!
We’ll have some rockin vibes out there on this one for sure!

When I first started playing tracks from Jerome Isma-Ae, I thought for some reason he was from Israel. Not at all - he’s a native of Munich, Germany, just with a crazy sounding name. Either way, that guy has production down.

While you wouldn’t call him the most versatile of producers in terms of the range of sounds or techniques he uses (he definitely has a recognizable style), his tracks end up showing a crazy versatility in that they’re playable in all sorts of contexts — big room, small room, along with house, progressive, trance, techno, even that slow progressive psytrance that Iboga Records is famous for (and Iboga has to be a future topic! wow).

To span all these possibilities, a production has to be bang-on-the-money, and Jerome delivers some fracken killer grooves somewhere between progressive house and tribal…

Here’s some choice tunes from the man. Not necessarily the most famous, but some of my faves…

Smile When You Kill Me

Stars In Your Head

Trouble In The Redlight District (with Tomcraft)

Love In Stereo (Remix)

PLAY ALL

If you dig what you’re hearing, check out his full library at beatport

He’s got his own label, JEE productions, as well, so check them out too…
